A victim is reportedly still in critical condition Friday after being pulled from a fourth-floor fire in East New York last week, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters responded to 155 Wortman Ave. just after 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 10 following several calls reporting a fire on the fourth floor.
Members of Ladder Company 103 forced their way into the apartment and found a resident semi-conscious amid burning materials, according to the FDNY.
About 65 firefighters battled the blaze using two hoselines before knocking down the main body of the fire. Crews then removed the victim from the building and turned them over to waiting paramedics, who rushed the victim to a local hospital.
The fire was placed under control at 5:55 p.m. Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze.
