Trump Uses UN Stage to Rip Globalism, Climate ‘Con Job,’ and Europe’s Migration Policies

(TJV NEWS)  President Donald Trump returned to his hometown Tuesday to deliver a fiery address to the United Nations General Assembly, using the world stage to denounce uncontrolled migration, climate change policies, globalist institutions, and foreign adversaries — while also taking swipes at his predecessor, Joe Biden.

The 80th session of the UN opened with high drama, including a brief scare when an escalator carrying Trump and First Lady Melania Trump suddenly stalled as they arrived at headquarters. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded the UN investigate whether the stoppage was sabotage, citing reports that staffers had joked about cutting off elevators and escalators in protest of U.S. funding cuts.

But once Trump reached the podium, he wasted no time turning his speech into a broadside against the global order.

“The number one political issue of our time is the crisis of uncontrolled migration,” Trump declared, blasting European governments for allowing illegal migration to “pour in.” “You’re destroying your countries. They’re being destroyed,” he said.

Calling out global elites, Trump derided climate change as “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world,” boasting that he had withdrawn the U.S. from what he labeled the “fake Paris climate accord.” He argued that so-called green policies merely shifted manufacturing to “polluting countries that break the rules.”

Trump saved some of his sharpest barbs for Russian President Vladimir Putin, threatening a “very strong round of powerful tariffs” if Moscow refuses to end its war in Ukraine. He urged European countries to “immediately cease all energy purchases from Russia. Otherwise, we’re all wasting a lot of time.” He also criticized the United Nations itself for “creating new problems for us to solve” instead of helping to end global conflicts.

The president took aim at several other targets, including London Mayor Sadiq Khan, countries recognizing Palestinian statehood, and his predecessor Biden, whom he blamed for economic mismanagement and foreign policy blunders.

On domestic matters, Trump boasted that the U.S. is “the hottest country anywhere in the world, and there is no other country even close,” citing falling inflation, gas, and grocery prices while touting record highs in the stock market. “We are rapidly reversing the economic calamity we inherited from the previous administration,” he said.

Trump’s address often sounded more like a State of the Union than a UN speech, highlighting his administration’s claimed accomplishments — from cutting regulations and taxes to what he described as ending “seven wars” in just eight months.

Still, he concluded on an optimistic note, urging world leaders to work together: “Let us all work together to build a bright, beautiful planet, a planet that we all share, a planet of peace and a world that is richer, better and more beautiful than ever before. That can happen. It will happen.”

On the sidelines of the summit, Trump is scheduled to meet with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Argentina, as well as a highly anticipated bilateral session with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump’s combative remarks underscored his determination to challenge the global order he says has weakened nations and betrayed ordinary citizens — even as rivals like Putin, European allies recognizing Palestinian statehood, and climate advocates waited to see how far the U.S. president will take his anti-globalist vision.
