Artis and Haynes were among several MTA workers honored Friday by Mayor Adams for their heroism during one of the bloodiest subway shootings in recent memory. Artis piloted the train from the 36th Street station, where the train first stopped after the shooting, to 25th Street. He and Haynes both helped the panicked passengers.
