The famous Brooklyn Heights brownstone seen in the 1987 film “Moonstruck” was just sold for the otherworldly price of $11 million.

Although the interior of house wasn’t used in the Oscar-winning flick, the exterior was home to Cher’s character and her fictional family. “Moonstruck” won three Academy Awards, including Cher’s Best Actress win.

Built in 1829, the five-bedroom house is located at 19 Cranberry St. and has been “magnificently restored and renewed,” according to the listing on Corcoran’s website.The home boasts new windows that fit its historical period, a brand new roof, refreshed marble fireplaces and an updated kitchen and two laundry rooms perfect for the staff.

The house has changed hands quite a few times in its history. The current sellers bought it for nearly $4 million in 2007, which was “100 times” more than the sellers had paid for when they bought it in 1961, according to the New York Times.

The 2008 articles notes that the house possibly skirted demolition in the 1960s after the Historic Preservation Committee won legal preservation status for about 1,000 homes in the once-gritty Brooklyn Heights neighborhood that were poised for redevelopment.

While it has yet to be revealed who the newest owners might be, we are fairly certain that it isn’t Brooklyn man Bill de Blasio. The former mayor is currently holed up at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge as his Park Slope home undergoes renovation, per the New York Post. The hotel, the Post notes, is owned by Muss Development, a Queens-based real estate company owned by longtime de Blasio supporters.
